Attend a movie with the person to practice coping skills to manage his or her social anxiety
Go with the person to a community event to reduce his or her social isolation
Play a board game with the person to enhance his or her fine motor skills
Provide verbal instructions or cues to the person to help him or her complete a task
Assist or supervise the person with tasks such as laundry, light housekeeping, meal preparation and shopping
Joyful Community’s adult companion services offer non-medical care, supervision, and social engagement to support adults in achieving their therapeutic or community integration goals, as outlined in their personalized support plan. Our companions provide meaningful interaction and encouragement, helping clients participate in activities that enhance their well-being. This may include attending outdoor events to reduce social isolation, playing board or video games to improve fine motor skills, offering verbal guidance to complete tasks, or accompanying them to a movie to ease social anxiety. While we provide compassionate support, our services do not cover activity fees or assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
